2006 Chevrolet 2500HD Reg Cab Long Bed 4x4 6.6 Duramax Allison 6 Speed.  86K Total miles, collector owned since 2008.   This is the one year only (part of 06 and some of 07) famed LBZ Duramax engine in a truck that hardly ever had it or survived in any kind of shape.   With that said, thus is an 86K mile truck, looked high, low cost no option.   Hardly any of these exist.  Most will be crew, extended cab, dually trucks over the this light platform most never see this powerhouse of an engine in.  Yea you could get it in a 2WD to be even lighter, but not as cool or desirable.  This truck was bought by True value hardware corp office in FL new.  According to the guy I got it from, who is prob one of the foremost expert on 60s Impala 427s, they sold it within a couple years hardly used as it was not what they ordered?? All their stuff was 2WD gas 6.0.   Somehow this got in the fleet and I think they realized it was more money... They sold it, he bought it.   He used it exactly for what I do.  Towing show cars every now and then and put it in his garage.  I bought it from him... but not before verifying the paint was all original and many other things.... then I pried it from his hands is more like it....  Could have a lower mile crew LT short for less money and less miles even, but I wanted a LCLB.. as you NEVER see them and this thing survived way better than you ever see one of these survive.   After my buying it, I took it up a notch.   He kept it nice and all stock..  I detailed it up and put the H2 wheels on.   I have 11 documenting videos that go through the entire process on Youtube.

There is a photo of the RPO Decal, decoding it you will see this truck has all the HD hardware you could get and verify it is an LBZ.. it has the Duramax, Allison, HD tow package, camper wiring, 4x4 with manual floor shift, offroad skid plates, 3.73 Posi and all of it.  What it does not have is any luxo options.   It has AC, Cruise and the better cloth seats.  It also has factory fog lamps, but I added those to it correctly.  What is stock?  All of it other than the shocks, H2 factory wheels and 285/70 17 E rated Duratrax, Line X bed coating and the blue bowtie. The PPE 80HP Tune giving the truck about 440HP and 800+ ft LBS of torque was put on by me and I have just "tested" it a few times.   All its life its been bone stock.  As of this moment I dont even have a lift pump.. may do, but thats all.   06 was the final year before heavy emissions as most know and of course the LBZ engine is covered all over the net as one of, if not the best diesel made in stock form... but what this truck had in emissions, well lets just say I think they got lost along the way.  Im still looking for them... with my eyes closed.   It runs insanely strong in this configuration and sips fuel doing it.  The little towing I do with it on my 24ft feather light, literally is not even tasking it.  And my trailer is a 14,400 Gross capacity with the 8 lugs... I do tow some things other than cars here and there too that get close to maxing it capacity, but nothing has phased it so far.

Anyway, my collecting methodology is I sit back, wait for the rest of the world to prove what vehicles, engines and platforms stand up the best... and when they are proven good... I get the best example I can find when its gets close to a classic.   Well the LBZ seems to have no end of fans raving and cheering it... and it is for good reason.... this is mine....  hope you like it.
